  • In 1965, seven charter members established the Oklahoma City Woodcarvers Club as a nonprofit organization to promote an interest in, and appreciation of, woodcarving.

  • The club thrives on an interested, active membership that devotes its time and talents to a variety of programs which include

    • instruction
    • demonstration
    • workshops
    • exhibitions
    • and social functions

  • In addition the OCWC maintains a library of
    • books
    • patterns
    • and videotapes on the subject of wood carving

  • The officers of the Club are elected by the members

  • Volunteer committees are formed to handle various duties and functions

  • The Club publishes this
    • web site
    • a monthly newsletter
    • and maintains a directory of its membership
