May Program The May program is scheduled to be a show and tell of item(s) from your collection. These should be items that have been carved by another wood carver. You may or may not know the wood carver. It can be educational and interesting to observe the work of others. Tell a little bit about how you came to acquire the piece and where it came from. What is it about the carving that inspired you or impressed you so much that you proudly added the carving to your personal collection! |

Purchase awards will be available again for this years woodcarving show. The order of selection by those who purchase these awards will be based determined by the order of the money received by the treasurer. Awards can be purchased in $50.00, $100.00 and $200.00 amounts. Any questions, contact Kent Wallace, Treasurer or Richard Dalke, Show Chairman. (see contacts on page 4 of this NL)

Bruce Futterer Class The second and third one day seminars with Bruce Futterer drew thirteen carvers for each session. There were so many carvers that they split into two rooms so everyone had plenty of room for their chips to fall freely. This really taxed Bruce’s talents didn’t give him much opportunity to take a breath. Everyone managed to learn some new carving techniques and ended with some excellent examples of flat plain carving of their own. |
